The 2017 Fall Conference - Crossings Between the Proximate and Remote, will be held October 12-14 in Marfa, Texas.   Abstracts were reviewed by anonymous peer-reviewers and this year's acceptance rate was a competitive 31%.

Shadow Landings, a massive 3D abstract/conceptual piece measuring 9 x 55 feet, which was on view at the Allentown Art Museum's Trexler Hall earlier this year initially began in a glass-walled studio called the Creativity Lab on Hamilton Street in downtown Allentown.  The Creativity Lab began as a collaboration between City Center Lehigh Valley and the Allentown art museum to encourage community engagement.  At the Creativity Lab the public could watch and participate in workshops and open studios.  Shadow Landings currently resides in Viscardi’s studio space in Bethlehem.
